Noticed another person put Janice Crenshaw on findagrave. Hers is dated before yours, but you were the one that asked for a photo, so I added it to yours.

Arthur Pierceson
Ok, I understand your request, but unfortunately, I still can not accomplish what you are looking for.
The only way siblings show up "linked" is if they are linked to the same parents.
Since another contributor has the memorial for Arthur R Pierceson, you will need to ask him to link Arthur to his parents. Provide him the parents full names and their Find a grave memorial # listed on the memorials.
Or you can go to the edit tab on Arthur's memorial and the clink on the link for relationships, and enter his parents Find A Grave memorial numbers under Father & Mother. (Hint - write the numbers down first, because it only gives you one chance to make the addition, and if you leave the page to look up the other number, it saves what you entered and that was your one chance! ) Once you do this, wait, you will get an email back notifying you that you suggestion has been accepted.

It is much easier than this all sounds, but I am trying to be specific.

Until you work a lot of these memorials, it is very confusing how this works. You can link parents to children, if you create the child's memorial. You can link spouses to each other if you have created one of the two spouses. But you can not link siblings unless you have both of the children and you are linking them to the same parents.

I suggest you give it a try, and if you are still not getting anywhere, let me know and I will help you doing the request.

Arthur Pierceson
As per your request to add William Pierceson as Arthur's father, can not be done by myself. You will need to ask the contributor who entered the memorial. Only that individual can make the link.

RE: Lemuel Blevins
Belvins and Blevins are probably interchangeable like the Cantwells and Cantrells.

I sent a recommended change to the person who maintains the memorial page. Watch it for a few days and if the info is not corrected, click on "Edit" on the memorial page; then select 'correction or additional information' and post a not to the page maintainer. From what I read on the page, she interchanges "Blevins" and "Belvin". If you happen to be the one maintaining the page, just click on Edit Name and make the correction. dh

You're welcome. Mt Olivet is a piece of cake. Did you get the memorial name corrected? Believe it or not, there are also several 'Belvins' in Mt Olivet as well as a goodly number of 'Blevins'.

RE: Nels Steele
Debra, we looked at the pages of maps for the San Andreas Peoples Cemetery today but could find no grave that we could say was for Nels Steel. There is Steel plot with multiple grave sites listed but only two of them had initials for the first name (J. Steel and Lincoln Steel) and I know that there are multiple members of that Steele family buried there so doubt Nels, who was born in Sweden, was a family member.
The cemetery has a lot of Unknown grave plots as most of our old cemetery does and anyone of those plots could be Nels who may have had no family to erect a gravestone.

RE: Nels Steele
On his death certificate, the last name was spelled without an E: Steel. His burial in Peoples Cemetery, San Andreas was recorded on 9/10/1958 and his death certificate was recorded in Book 10, Page 58.
I am not sure what the GenWeb Archives would have to do with whether he is buried there or not. Most internet sites only have what people listed and if they did not know something, then it would not be listed but that does not mean that he did not exist.
There was a map of that cemetery at the county archives with last names listed on plots. I will see if he might have a plot with his name on it. There are several Steeles in the cemetery (family of John Steele) who are all buried together so a plot with the name listed as Steel that is not near the others could be him. There is a big possiblity that his grave is not marked which means only old cemetery records would help locate his plot. Contacting the San Andreas Cemetery District might help you. They are a county special district as are most of our cemeteries.
