I started doing this for my family. I think FIND A GRAVE is a wonderful tool for linking our history together.

I would like to thank the members of FIND A GRAVE that are eager and willing to share this great experience with your prompt editing and sharing of information. If you find any mistakes I made please let me know. If you wish to have a memorial transferred, I will usually do so, as long it is not a family member of mine or a special project.

RE: relative
Thank you for providing the Information about Frank and his family. I was aware of them and have included them and their Find A Grave numbers with my genealogy. Are you aware Frank had a sister, Cora?
Are there any stories you heard from your grandmother I should include in my Robbins research?

RE: name change
Edwin Josiah Robbins and Bertha Augusta Clute were married in Amboy, Lee, Illinois 14 Feb 1879. Bertha was born 23 Apr 1864 in White Rock, Lee, Illinois and died 9 Aug 1943 in Harvard, Clay, Nebraska.

As an aside, I feel it important you know it was a very contentious divorced earmarked by Edwin's infidelity. Bertha subsequently married Henry Weatheral. While Edwin does not have living descendants, his daughter, Cora's children and grandchildren are still living. I am not certain they feel comfortable with Bertha and Edwin being linked given the above stated reasons.

Thanks for all you do. Find A Grave is a boon to individuals who enjoy genealogy.

Robbins AKA Edward Robbins
Edwin's name appears as Edwin Josiah in the Robbins family Bible, on his birth certificate, and on the marriage certificate on file in Lee County, Illinois for his first marriageto Bertha Clute. It appears he changed his name after his marriage to Eliza Jane Reed and his move to Clinton, Illinois from Amboy.
