I live in Fort McMurray, Alberta and travel the McMurray to Calgary to Medicine Hat corridors occasionally. If you would like a photo from a cemetery along that route or in Alberta in general, please let me know. I can't make any promises, but it would be a good way to repay the favour that other Find A Grave members have given me by posting my relatives headstones photos from far away places. Coleen

Elk Point Cemetery - Smith Family
Dear Coleen,

Thank You & Robert for all your efforts; our entire family is very grateful. I sent you a reply last week (I see it did not reach you, which frequently happens when FIND A GRAVE has too many members on-line). Thank You for writing again. Please send the pictures to my E-mail address: adelheid@mindspring.com Your photographs will be a great addition to our family history. Please extend our appreciation to Robert.

RE: Slaughter / Allens / and the Wolf Pub
Hi Coleen,

I don't know a great deal about the photo I'm afraid. It was my nans (George Slaughters niece) Edith Slaughter.

I'm not even sure when it was taken. My great grandfather (James Slaughter) is on the back row standing under the "W" (with the light suit on) He died in 1944, so obviously before then. The man standing to his left is my great uncle (James Slaughter) The tall man on the back row standing behind George Slaughter is another great uncle (William "Bill" Slaughter) George and James had a sister, Elizabeth, who ran The Wolf with her husband (William Brickwood) for many years. I do have another picture of George but unfortunately none of Theresa. All I know about Theresa was she was the unofficial midwife of the family and attended many of the Slaughter births. As you can see they are both buried in St Andrews in Clewer. Hope it has helped a little.
Best wishes
Tee

I am very interested in many people buried in Alberta. I am working on some from Calgary as of right now. Where are you in Alberta?
