RE: Andrew Everett
Hi, David. The Peru Center Cemetery is in poor condition. It's mown, but the ground throughout is very uneven (watch-your-step, ankle-twisting uneven) so the riding mower lurches and scalps and knocks stones over. Fully 15% of the visible stones are damaged, some badly shattered, others only stubs, and many have fallen face down. None have been righted or repaired. There are large areas with no stones visible at all, so I suspect many have disappeared. Of the standing stones, nearly all are legible, but a lot of information has been lost with the damaged and missing ones. Peru is one of the smallest and poorest towns in Massachusetts, so it's no wonder the cemetery doesn't get much TLC, but it is sad.

I changed the Name on 6 of Olmstead to Omstead.
I am not authorized to change the surname on the other Olmsteads. You will have to contact the person's name that originated the memorial.
