I picked up working on my genealogy where my mother left off. She had started working on our family's history in 1962, pouring over micro films at a nearby LDS church. Her many notebooks are full of handwritten records that I am working to record in a more permanent manner.
I also believe in trying to record the fading markers and headstones in the many local cemetery's before they are lost from lack of care or are vandalized.
If I have listed a memorial for one of your family members, let me know and I will transfer it, just leave a public message.
Please feel free to use any photograph I post on this site.

Hi,
I think this is the lady that was married to my great grandfather James "Dick" Day. They lived in Hollis, Oklahoma & he owned a jewelry store. I think she was his second wife. I have numerous Day relatives on m find a grave. Please let me know, ok? In the 1920 census, James was 53 and Ava was 37. Thanks for your help!

John is my Grandfather on my mothers side. My name is John White. Naomi (Ma) his wife is still alive and just celebrated her 97th birthday in Deming NM. Thanks for posting. Jonnie (Paulie) his daughter is my mother.

John A. Shaul
A long time employee of the Department of Game and Fish, died October 3, 1967 of a heart attack. He was 54 years old, a resident of Las Cruces. Shaul joined the Department in 1949 as a predatory animal trapper and had previously worked in that capacity for the Fish and Wildlife Service. He also served as district conservation officer In the Capitan and Gallup areas. Since 1959 he had been wildlife Information officer for the South west area of the state and was well known through his work in radio TV and newspapers. State Game and Fish director Ladd Gordon said, “John was one of those professional wildlifers who earned the highest respect and admiration of his fellow workers, and the general public. His loyalty to the Department, his dedication to the cause of conservation, and his hard work for the hunter and fishermen of our state will be sorely missed.” He is survived by his, wife Oney and three daughters; Mrs. Jonnie White of Las Cruces, Mrs. Vera Jack of Kitchener Ontario and Mrs. Alice Ririe of Bartlesville, Ok.
