I do memorial searches and photo request on my own FREE will. PLEASE DO NOT TRANSFER OR USE ANY PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN AND POST TO ANY OTHER MEMORIALS OR WEB SITES THAT CHARGE FEES. Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo. Argh - There seems to be a lot of misspelled names in the data base and I'm only going to find them after the picture is posted. I'm going to try and contact the contributor who did the photo and ask them to upload to the correct memorial. Thanks for all you do!

Sounds like someone just needed to be grumpy about it because the request wasn't rude at all! We need to give the others a chance to do the updates before we ask Find a Grave to merge the memorials from Cave Hill into the ones in Cave Hill National. At that point it might be better if you posted your photos onto the memorials that are correct in Cave Hill National. Keep me posted. =]

I got your messages regarding dups and have deleted them. Even though you're an expert at this I'll try even harder to get these right! BTW - What the heck is "tactfully rude"? Sounds like an oxymoron to me. LOL I did a virtual cemetery with the remaining memorials that folks haven't responded to. I'm thinking we need to wait at least a month to give them time to work on them before we proceed. I did another virtual cemetery for the new memorials I posted in Cave Hill National. I checked both cemeteries so that I didn't duplicate and will be requesting photos soon. Lets hope I did a better job on these next ones. Thanks for all your help!
