|After retiring from the US Air Force in 2011, I decided to embark on a new hobby; finding my ancestors. I continue to look for Yanish (Illinois), Arnold (east coast of US and Wales), and Cloy (mostly Mississippi). Some of the biggest stumbling blocks have been Swingell (Illinois) and Mosher (prior to Mississippi). |
I enjoy searching for cemeteries and collecting data for others. Most are interesting but some are sad, especially when I find a cemetery that has not been kept for a long period of time.

Thank you for responding.

I have moved Ruby to Old Wright Cemetery. Thanks for calling this to my attention. I got my information from a cemetery book, so now I wonder if I have any more in the wrong cemetery. If you notice any more, please let me know. Thanks so much, Janine
|Bettye B Forster||Thanks|
I appreciate so much your making the photo and putting it up for Frances E Boyles Hill. She is the youngest of the children of my ancestor James Anderson Boyles Sr and wife Cynthia Webster.

Thank you for posting the picture of Ms Rhodes stone. Her school book has been handed down thru the family and it is great to know where she is buried. Can you tell me if her father is next to her? He married Rebecca F Cain and worked on the Cain plantation when he died. His name was James Wright Rhodes. I know where Rebecca is buried but have to assume that James would be next to his little girl. Please let me know if you saw or have a picture of his stone. Again many thanks for your help. Sincerely, Jon

I don't live around there. I live in So. Utah, and I was visiting my sister who lives just
behind the cemetery. That picture was taken from her driveway. Now you see why you
won't be able to get a mower or a weed eater in there!
Here are the coordinances: N31 degrees 36.101' W090 degrees 59.984'
I couldn't figure them out. I think that's the info. to her house, but it will work
for the cemetery. It's up the road from the Greendale United Methodist Church,
if that helps you out any. It's on McNair Rd.
I wrote to Findagrave with the above information and asked them to figure it out
and put it on the Porter page. We'll see if they do it. Usgenweb for Franklin County,
Miss. has no record of the cemetery either. I also wrote to them with this same information.
I hope this info. helps you out.

I have written to Find A Grave to have them add the GPS coordinances to that cemetery. I couldn't figure it out, so I'm leaving it up to them. By the way, it is in the woods, overgrown with brush, weeds, etc. It's also invaded with huge rattlesnakes. I'll send you a recent picture of one caught on the property.
