RE: Hopie Collins
No, I'm not related so I transferred her memorial to you. I just manage a lot of memorials in Mount Hope cemetery.

RE: Fikes history
Hi Kenny,
I am sorry you could not contact me previously, probably old email addresses. My current email is lidaperfetto@frontier.com. Contact me with any questions you may have any time. I have done extensive research for a long time on our Fikes family. Nice to meet another cousin! Starting with the first NY State Fikes to come from the Rhine Valley area of Europe about 1750: Peter Fikes, born ABOUT 1720- About 1776. Don't know much about him except he was a tenant farmer on lands belonging to Sir William Johnson in what is now Fulton County, NY; Phillip Adam Fikes, born 1749- to probably about 1830, Revolutionary War Patriot, married Margretha Wick, daughter of another Revolutionary War Patriot, Johann Michael Wick and Dorothea Koch (daughter of Swiss immigrants, Casper Kock and Verena Muller). Phillip Adam and Margretha Fikes's oldest son was John Fikes, born 1771 in the Stone Arabia area of NY State. He is your ancestor. He and his wife Selia Miller (daughter of another Revolutionary War Patriot Garrett Miller), had several children, most of whom went west after the opening of the Erie Canal. Their oldest son, Adam was born near Stone Arabia in 1798. Adam married Sally Johns. Do you have an ancestry.com subscription? If you do I can send you my tree.
I am descended from Phillip Adam's youngest son, Jacob. Most of Jacob's line stayed in NY State.

The only death cert.I found was for Asburg Pop Johnson that is in Spring Valley cemetery; His wife was Eva Johnson.
some stomes are not in the cemetery.
I walked the cemetery with Shilling befor he died and one other man . I cann't think of his name righy now. They were both older men.
There is a Asburg in Saginaw cemetery.

He shot himself with a 22 gun.
