I am the current President of the Dover Cemetery Association. I have been updating the record for the Dover Cemetery using all the old records available. This process is current as of 10-15-2012.
The Dover Cemetery in 2013 is involved in a campaign to raise capital for 3 projects.
We would like to obtain a marker to recognize the area we have that was used during the 1918 flu epidemic. This area was basically an open grave and currently has no Marker.
Our entrance columns are crumbling and need replaced.
Redo the landscaping along the State Road next to the High School.
If you have family buried at Dover and would like to contribute E-mail me through Find-A-Grave.
My Son A.Rice had added a lot during his years in 4-H. We have recently converted the old records to computer using a program he wrote. It allows us to sort by plot number or by last name for easy sorting of information. We are using it to keep track of plots and lots sold. It also has an active map. It will also keep track of our veterans, allowing us to easily print a list for flags on Memorial day. This program also lets us add pictures of the grave stones as an easy reference when making additions or working in a lot. It has made finding information about a grave or family much easier.

Farlow - Dover Cemetery
Doug,

I am interested in the listing for Jesse Farlow 1893-1896 and Jessie A. Farlow 1890-1893. Do you know their parents?

Several Farlows there are relations, still working on them. I would like to get back to the, but sort of stopped with the Jesses.

Ann oops!
I just realized that Ann is wrong and that A. Rice is your son...should of read your bio first! My huge mistake Doug!!! So now I do know that you are working together. By the way, I do have some family buried there at Dover. The Denny's are my line through my mother's side. I've done quite a lot of research on them

Dover Cemetery
Hi Doug!

I was wondering if you know anything of Ann Rice who has added so many memorials to Dover Cemetery in Boone Co. I've been sending some updates/links and no response. I saw that you have many great photos added to a lot of her memorials. I have come across a few duplications and so checked her profile and see that she has other messages about her activity. With you having the same last name I thought maybe you were working together and just wanted to check to see if I should even send any more information. I appreciate your help :)

RE: Caldwell
Thank you for deleting the duplicates, and your very prompt and polite response. Its good to see a father-son duo at work in genealogy. God bless.

That sure is interesting. Like I said, I have found 6 additional births to the couple, that i really didn't know about, then Charles goes and buys 6 graves nezt to her..seems too much of a coincedence not to be correct. I wonder if perhaps, there were 6 kids that died in a fire, and maybe after burying his mother, he felt he needed a proper resting place for his siblings, even though, it was well after their deaths. So there aren't any records to tell if there are persons buried in those graves? They could be empty right?

RE: Mary Martin
look at her memorial again. There was photo of her headstone already. I just had a lot of photos so it wasn't showing. I am curious to know if there are any childrens headstones laying up against her stone? Did you send the email to stljenandjon@hotmail.com?
