RE: John Alin Bomer
Hi! I was looking through all of my old email stuff and I keep everything or at least I thought I did, but couldn't find my reply regarding this question. I do remember responding and I told him I got this information from a Bomer family member. I've looked all over and have found no records to prove his parents, but just went by this persons tree. I do have a document that someone sent to me that I could send to you as well. What is your email address if you don't mind.

I realize there could be some descrepancy with his birth date. His death certificate has March 7, 1865.

One cannot discount the possibility that the 1870 census has the names or dates reversed for the two sons.

I have noted on his record that the 1870 census seems to indicate that he was born in 1870 and that his death certificate has 1865.

Since the WPA record that was used for his entry at Greenwood was done from visuals of the tombstones, I believe the tombstone probably had 1866, so I'm sticking with the death certificate date of 1865 until more proof is offered to sway towards a later date.
