RE: my great grandfather maybe???
And I apologize for suggesting you order your father's death certificate, but you had not mentioned that he is still living.

RE: my great grandfather maybe???
I saw an Alonzo Williamson in Columbus in a couple of census years, as well as in the army. If you had given me that information before I would have copied it. Of course, that doesn't prove it's the same Alonzo as the one buried in Normantown. The only way I can determine that is to ask family, and I don't know of any still living who knew him. I will continue to try. Now tell me how is your dad named for him if his name is Wilkie Jack?

RE: my great grandfather maybe???
I cannot find proof that this Alonzo Williamson was your great-grandfather. I have been unable to find him in the 1910, 1920 or 1930 census records. I found who I think might be him in 1940 census in Vidalia, GA with a wife named Ophelia.

I found your Linnie Jernigan Williamson and her son, Wilkie, in the 1910 census of Walton County, FL, living with her parents. It states she is widowed.

The best thing for you to do is order Wilkie Jack Williamson's death certificate in hopes that it might shed some light on his father.

RE: my great grandfather maybe???
I have two Alonzo Williamsons in my database. I don't have information that either of them was in Florida. I don't have wife or children for either. Could you be more specific as to a time period of place besides just Florida? I might could find the information on the census.
