I still hope to locate his grave and get a photo of it. All my records indicate it is in Marietta National Cem. I wonder if there is a list of burials there???

Jonathan H. Bass was enlisted at Williamsburg, Mississippi, February 22, 1862 by T.D. Magee.
and was assigned to Company B of the Sixth Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers - this regiment was later known as the Thirty-Sixth, and was further changed to the Forty-Sixth by orders received on December 2, 1862. He was killed in the Battle of Kenesaw Mountain June 27, 1864, and was buried at Marietta, Georgia. His wife gave birth to a little girl about a month later, Aug. 2, 1864,and named her Marietta Georgia Frances Bass.
