RE: Simonis
Hi Jim!
I 3x Gr Grandpa, Martin Courtade married Eva Simonis, daughter of John and Mary. I don't have a lot of information on the Simonis family. You can see my website at to see what I have.
Thanks for the note!

Guess I was too annoyed to realize you were new to the system. You entered a memorial for a person I already had in the system for many years.

This usually happens soon after a person dies, so I was annoyed because it was so much later. Always check the search before you enter a new person. If that person is already there, you can go to the edit button at the top and make corrections or add information. Almost always we are glad to have the data and often will transfer the memorial to your care if you want it. Then you can care for it as you like. SOMETIMES, the system is slow to record and fails to tell you soon after an entry.

Then, next time you check or work with the family, go to the left and click "all (family) in 'this cemetery or county" etc. That will show you quickly if someone else has another memorial for your person. It's easy & a way to respect others work while keeping the sites updated and accurate. One time this messes up is if a person is entered by a nickname or middle name. (usually because the writer didn't know the entire story-this is true of family members too who don't know 'real' names of many older folks)

Anyway, your cousin who had contacted me earlier explained she had asked you to enter the family. I'm just fine about it now. Mistakes can still happen and we all try to correct them. I apologize for my undue wrath.

Would have been courteous to have sent me the data I did not have OR at least requested to maintain my site which was entered many years ago. I would have been pleased to transfer it to you.
