|Findagrave is nicely centralized. Internationally. You don't have to know the country, the state/province, the county, and the town, to be able to get search results.|
My mother started my interest in genealogy many years ago. She simply wanted to know from which side of our Irish family our cousin Charlie was connected. Once started, I became addicted and am still not cured.
In searching for my aunt, whom I thought died in Canada, and not finding any death records there, someone on genforum told me about findagrave.com. There she was. I'd have never thought of New York. Evidently she was on her way to visit her sister, and died on the way. That was how I discovered findagrave.com.
One day, I received word about a house in the country being sold. Real estate and landlords were looking into buying the property. It has a small family gravesite in the backyard. I knew of an instance where a gravesite, hindering the sale of the property, had supposedly been moved to another burial site. Word had been passed, that there had never been a gravesite there. It turned out that the remains had been dumped in an excavated hole and covered up. That urged me to take pictures of the backyard gravesite to prove there had been one there. From there, I decided to place the pictures on findagrave.com.
Thank you, everyone. For submitting these memorials and photos. And those who allow me to traipse around your family gravesites. I will treat them with every respect.

Kathy, I've transferred your great-grand aunt to you. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with. And, yes, the photo under my name is actually my great-grandmother, Myrta (#25696113).

Kathy, after doing some digging into Ancestry.com, I did find that Alfred D & Mary were married. I found them living in Sacramento in 1910, in Stockton in 1920, in El Dorado Co in 1930 & 1940. If Mary passed before Alfred and they had no family, it is possible that Alfred didn't have a headstone or anyone to get one for him.

According to the El Dorado County cemetery records, Alfred D Cooper (#81661543) is buried in this plot next to Mary (#81661537). I may have erroneously linked them as being married (I have since removed the link), but the county records do indicate these two being buried next to each other. I'll transfer to you as soon as you give the go-ahead. I'm not even remotely related, so I have no problem transferring.

dont worry too much about St Peters church bolton le moors , about 80 percent of the inters were transferred to Tong Cemetry without the memorials in 1869 and then another transfer about 1900 and its a long drawn out topic due to the river being polluted as water runs down from the high ground they had to move them and then had to move more due to bodies being too shallow and poking out and the ground was uneven
|A. Coward||St Peters|
Im assuming that whats happened the person who put the pics on actucally physically went to the church (in Halliwell) went home and then put them in the wrong church (easily done) and maybe lives a fiar distance. As i live in Bolton and have done all my life - I would not confuse the 2 churches but easily done , St Peters Bolton le moors is the big main church - St Peters Halliwell a 'newer' church and about 3/4 hour on foot from the other church.
Which names were you interested in and ill have a look ?
