Re: Irene Barenburg Younce
Hi Helen - It sounds from your note that you think I can put the children under the heading "Children:". Those names in blue type are Findagrave links coming from deceased children. So I put Roy's living children in his bio. Irene had her living children in the obituary so what I did was expand the bio to include their complete name and birth year.
Thanks for the information. Have a great weekend.

Memorial has been transferred. Sorry but I'm not any closer to her gravesite than you are. Try doing a findagrave gravestone request. Someone close by might take a photo for you.

William Skidmore
The photo of William Skidmore also includes his second wife Martha Brinkerhoff Hays.
There is no photo that I am aware of Lucinda Mitchell. She died 1880

RE: William Taylor Orme
Nicholas Ormes was my great-grandfather. He and Sarah Worthington had eight children----Girtie, Wed (my grandfather), Addie, William (Mel), Crocket (Vernon), Lola, Jewel, and a stillborn child who is buried in the Parham Cemetery, Tennessee with mother Sarah. Wed married Della May Burnett and had two daughters---Burnita Sarah Ormes Morrison (my mother) and Wedine Carol Ormes Reeder. So your and my grandparents---Wed and Addie---were brother and sister.

My wife and I have visited the cemeteries in Tenneessee (Parham, Ormes, Big Lick) twice in the past 3 years, and have done some research on I'm trying to compile a history of the Ormes family. I can email a copy to you if you'd like when I get it done sometime in the next year.

Most of the Morrison and Reeder families still live in Kansas, but a few of us live in Colorado and Arkansas.

I think the farm you are talking about is in head oif valley, Mark Tollet purchesd it from Parham, he only paid for 1/2 the other bunch had left town and never came back He didnt have to pay them. The barn was on side of road and side of River. the church is Parham Chapel Church a very old church. It was a Methodist, but something else now. Nicholas Orme mother was a Parham, I am thinking he is one who left town. I will check

I ll look up a cousin of your, Robert Bob Orme, you can give him a call. He would be delited. His father came of Kansas around 1930 to visit N S Orme

RE: Mackie Ather Younce

I got it corrected. You are correct

This is Younce died in S D

Matty L Younce Moody 25 Sep 1927

I assumed they had mistrns his first name.

Do you know who this is?

Do you have any picture of Ormes to share with a long lost cousin back in Tn

The Orme family went to KS with Lee Family they were son in law back in Burke,Cumberland County, Tennessee. Both famalies lived in same community. Lee first House inside Cumb Co Line. Now owned by Linda Tollett Austin. I dont know who owns Ormes land. Burke is just inside the Cumberland Co tn line. There is Orme Store in Cumberland co tn also Orme Store in Bledsoe Co Tn It was change to Melvin, named after Melvin Orme.

Your name is Helen Louise Hamilton d/o Dorothy A Younce and Arden Hamilton

Many Thanks for getting me straight. Keep your family attach on the relationship link. You will be surpised how many people will get in touch with you. This greatly helps many people doing research who cant come to Ks and MN, etc

Thanks again
