RE: Dewitt Elkin
Hi - I always wonder when I post a picture of a person on their memorial page if a family member comes across it . . .The picture was too precious to pass by without it searching for the matching memorial page. No, Dewitt Elkin is not a relative. I have been going through pages and pages of military photos from different sources online trying to find a photo of my grandfather who served in WWI and came across this photo of Dewitt Elkin. I know there has to be a military photo of my grandfather in some military file somrwhere because I remember seeing one as a kid. I've contacted relatives who may have a copy but no response. Hopefully, I have saved someone in Dewitt's family hours of searching or provided a photo that the family did not know existed . . . just a small way to "contribute". . . .

RE: Duplissey
Yes. I have talked to his son, another Jerry, several times in the last couple of years. He is still active and loves to go hunting. Chris

Hi Bobby: I'm not directly related to the Duplisseys but my great aunt married Jerry Duplissey. Anyway, I was searching on Ancestry today and ran across an application for a military headstone for a Jeremiah Duplissey that was buried in Butler Creek Cemetery. The information on the application card stated that he was a CSA, Pvt K 12th Reg. That he died Mar 6, 1917. The headstone was shipped to a Mrs. L. J. Duplissey in Lone Pine, LA on Dec 18, 1930. Thought you might like this information. Chris

RE: Memorial # 43693926
H Bobby, i was cleaning files and realize i'd not made the marriage date change and did so immediately. Everything else seems to have been added as you'd suggested. Thanks so much for sending the info. Please contact me any time you need changes or additions in your family memorials at findagrave.

best of in your future,
