RE: Catherine E (Stratton) Marshall
The CDV of Catherine Stratton Marshall was among a lot of 30 CDV's purchased from an Ebay merchant. No other information on where the CDV's or especially the CDV of Catherine came from. I also posted that CDV image on Flickr with the following information (if you see anything inaccurate, please let me know.)

Written on an otherwise blank verso: Catherine Stratton Marshall, Indiana.

Catherine E. Stratton was born in October 1837 in Ohio, the daughter of Mark and Mary Stratton. In 1850, Catherine and five siblings were living with their parents on a farm in Largo, Wabash County, Indiana, and had real estate valued at $3,000. On 25 March 1857, Catherine married Milburn Samuel Marshall (1833-1909), and the couple would have at least four children. In 1860, the couple was living with Catherine’s parents on a farm in Largo. By 1870, the couple had relocated to Chester, Indiana, where Milburn was a machinist; the family had real estate valued at $200 and a personal estate of $2,000. By 1880, Catherine was living with three of her children in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana; Milburn was not living with the family. It appears that a divorce was likely, although Catherine listed herself as a widow in later censuses; Milburn remarried and moved to Michigan. In 1900, Catherine was living with her daughter Flora’s family in Wichita, Kansas. In 1910 and 1920, she was living with her son Howard in Los Angeles, California. Catherine Stratton Marshall passed away in 1924.

RE: Susan Woodward 114032828
You're welcome. She was buried by herself and I didn't see any others nearby, but will keep an eye out the next time I'm in that area.

Sherlocks Cousin
RE: John M Seward 8873171
Some of the full names for Nettie are: Jeanette, Annette, Antoinette, Anita, Henriette. I'll see what I can dig up on her name. All the Denton Journal articles with her name always had Nettie written. Together we should come up with a 'real' first name, although the N is on her headstone. Thinking about it, Julia Nettie just doesn't go together does it?

Found John's obituary and it shows he was married twice. I've updated his memorial and 2d wife Julia's memorial as well.

RE: Albany Rural Cemetery
Sorry, there were 2 Caty Shepards, one who died in 1814 and was 3 months old
Added by Desertthorn on Jun 22, 2015 5:48 PM
Sorry about that. Also, the cards didn't have any more info on folks except where they were born and died. No relationships listed so can't help with who is who
