|Lynn Bruce||RE: Alice Boyce|
Alice was running a Boarding House on Woodside Ave.in 1910 with my grandparents and a granddaughter living with her. By 1920, she was living with my grandmother and 4 children in the Brandon community. Alice died in 1925. She is buried a few yards from my grandmother and her daughter, LouAnn Davis. Mary died when Alfred was a toddler and Silas was living with the 3 kids and his aunt Ellender Boyce in the Paris Mtn. Township, Greenville,S.C. in 1880. I lost Silas after 1880.Ellen/Ellender left Alice,LouAnna and Alfred something in her will.She referred to Alice as her nurse,kinsperson and companion. By this time, Alice had Ethel and Minnie, by whom, I guess we will never know. Alfred was living when Alice died in 1925, but I can't find him, either.If you would like to communicate via email, let me know.
|Lynn Bruce||RE: Minnie Lee Boyce Burden|
Your Grandmother was my Grandmother's (Ethel Grace Boyce Harrison) sister. Their Mother was Alice Boyce. I have been unable to find who Alice was married to. Minnie's obit says her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Boyce and Ethel's obit says Silas Boyce and Mary Tanner. Silas Boyce was their Father.
