I have been an avid amateur genealogist since I was a teenager. My father and I worked together on his Stancil line for many years; it was our special time together. |
Family history is a fascinating hobby that takes me on many a tangent! It's my way of honoring and remembering my dear parents, both of whom died way too young. It's my legacy to my son.
Life has taken me on many twists and turns, and around a bend or two, but I always come back to my roots in central North Carolina.
Changes/Errors: if you discover errors in information on memorials I manage, please let me know. I'm also happy to add information and to link individuals to their parents or spouse.
Transfers: I'll never understand folks who refuse to transfer memorials to closer family members outside FAG's 4 generation policy. To me, it is far more important to have memorials in the hands of family - even if distantly related - than in the hands of a stranger. If you are a closer family member than me, I'm happy to transfer a memorial to your care.
Corrections: please use the edit button in the upper right hand corner of the memorial page to send corrections, additional information and link requests.
Photos: feel free to use and share my photos. While I would appreciate an acknowledgment, I know these pictures can mean a lot to living family members.
Lastly, my gratitude to Find-A-Grave for creating this wonderful way for us to honor our ancestors and loved ones.

I have given you 'edit' for Ephram Bailey... You have his 'parents' listed on his memorial, which I would like you to link him to... I don't think this 'edit' will require any 'research' on your part... Beings how you have already acknowledged who his parents are 😇
Thank You, 😇

Carla, I don't want to spend any more time trying to 'convince' you the information I have given you is correct ... I suggest you do your own 'research' so you will know, for sure, if it is correct or not ....
I do not email with anyone through ancestral programs... I do not put my email address on them... I have had 3 computer crashes through these programs... Met a very nasty female who 'messed' with me, for months, to the point of 'bullying'😞. The only way I will communicate is through the 'message' system set up on Find A Grave.
Happy researching, 😇

Page from my rootsweb.com research that was done in ancestry.com .... a paid for program which I belong to for four years... There is more if you require more. If you will look at the links in 'find a grave' .... see the relationships.... Contributor 'Gravefinder' had no problem with readily 'linking'. She even transferred memorial to me to maintain. Check it out...

Sorry I didn't do this sooner, but we've been out of town. I'm happy to transfer management to a person who can "fill in the blanks" for someone who has passed.

Things happen. Sometimes if there is not enough money in an estate, there could be a switch of cemetery to provide a free grave and the death certificate may not be changed. Funeral home could have done a burial without notifying cemetery office during that time period. Hopefully, they did not do that. Lorraine, City of Beaufort, can be reached at 252-728-2141 for possible further insight. It will be a mind easing follow-up as I see it. Best opportunity for information is the funeral home if it is still in business. Best of luck and I will be camera ready if you find she has a marker anywhere.

I did look for Agnes's stone and I can see the space where she is likely buried next to John. John has a stone because the VA gives veterans a nice, free metal marker. Always sad to learn that a grave is unmarked.
