About 3 years ago, I retired. It was difficult leaving my career of nursing. Starting later in life (age 35) to begin, I worked in hospital medical/surgical, home care, long term care, forensic and lastly psychiatric/mental health nursing. Now I'm concentrating on the activities of the DAR (Daughters of The American Revolution), CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), FindAGrave, Garden club, Red Hats, and crafts. My husband is retired and loves to Golf.|
My first contact with FindAGrave was when I was researching my own ancestry. There are approximately 350 Cemeteries & Graveyards in the rural small county of Virginia where I live. Less than a third of them have been photographed.

Sorry, I don't know. They both died in Greene Co VA, so I imagine somewhere there. Shelley

No thanks - I think you are doing great and the correct GPS info is what matters most. BTW I've used the Find-A-Grave mobile app for GPS info and added it in Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Texas. But could not and can not get it corrected for the other Runkle cemetery in Virginia, either when I was on site or via online submissions. I give up!

Runkle Family Graveyard:
Thanks for all your work, but now Find-A-Grave is showing the cemetery is located near Afghanistan and Pakistan. !!! It used to display in Greene County Virginia at least. Can you double-check the revised cemetery coordinates?
Emanuel's memorial seems to be correct with new GPS.
I live in Houston, Texas, and am not a relative, and unfortunately have been unable to correct or amend GPS info in Virginia. I got interested when visiting a friend who lives by another small Runkle cemetery, a different cemetery near Stanardsville,was curious about who was buried there. I pulled info from ancestry.com to try to figure it out, and realized this other one was part of that family tree.

|Leona Gustafson||RE: Carrie Tarpenning tombstone location|
You're welcome. According to the death certificates for Carrie and Melvin Tarpenning they are buried at Milford Center cemetery. They just don't have gravestones. You'd be surprised how many people have unmarked graves in any cemetery.
|Carl Weaver||Mattie Pullen memorial|
I've looked for quite a while and finally found Mattie's memorial. It was well hidden in the Gilliland family plot

Glad to do it! (and I'm trying to fix the orientation...).

Left off an ending parentheses ")". Augustus was the father, Mariah J. (her site reads Mary Eliza J.) was the mother of Eller J. Snow.

will very much appreciate anything you can do to
photograph and document this cemetery.
You might consider contacting a local boy scout troop - and suggest they help clean up this cemetery - as an EAGLE PROJECT.
please keep me abreast of any changes to the condition of the cemetery.

Thanks for the invite, But I'm afraid Kansas City is a bite far for a meeting.
I also have detailed information about the Pullins, including information about the Usher, Perry and Swift families. Most of my information is on Ancestry.com.
