its in a place called Paplin that no longer exists! it was once a thriving community and the people in Ashton would walk the several miles every Sun to go to church there - the beautiful church is still there - when the railroad came thru, it unfortunately did not go thru Paplin and gradually pretty much everyone moved to Ashton - Ashton is in Sherman Co, east of Loup City - Paplin is in Howard Co - when I went there to find my relatives, I realized they were all related to Sherman Co families, which is my special interest, so i photographed the entire cemetery, and am including them in my effort to link everybody - Paplin is a few miles east of Ashton, and then a few miles north, then maybe a half mile west - if you want details i will help you - lots of Tesmers in Sherman Co! i even think one of my relatives may have married one! please let me know what else I can do to help you!!! :) k | | |
