Elwood Clark.
His wife is listed in the 1920 US census, but he is listed as a widower in the Iowa 1925 census. It also lists him as living in Allens Grove-Cleona, Scott county, IA. Now I need to find out where Allens Grove-Cleona used to be.

Lawrence Elwood CLark
Well in the 1885 census in Iowa lists Elwood, Emma, a son Elwood which would be Otto on the headstone because the age is the same, and another daughter older then Elwood/Otto. She is 8 by July 1, 1885 named Minerva. This can't be Birdie because she is listed on the headstone as being born in 1885.

L. Elwood Clark
I found him and his wife Emma and daughter Brdie in the 1910 census living in Buffalo. Emma and Elwood are also listed in the 1920 census being residents of Buffalo. that explains the "E & E" on the head stone. So the lots 58-59 block 4 are filled with his two children. I am still looking to see if maybe he is buried in the catholic section or maybe in Blue Grass ( Buffalo cemetery sold out at one time) and maybe in the cemetery in West davenport.

RE: Hiram Thompson, Brown Cemetery
I looked up the name in I found in there where it is noted that he was buried in the Brown Cemetery. It also says that there is no grave marker and no obit could be located. Sorry. If I find anything else I will let you know.

RE: Hiram Thompson, Brown Cemetery
There is a Fremont County Cemetery book. I am not sure exactly how they compiled the information. There is a hand drawn map to go with all the names. It could be that he wasn't in the book and is buried there. The cemetery is in really bad shape and if there is a stone I didn't find it. Most of the stones have fallen over. Some are half buried in the dirt. I'm sorry.

No, but I will let you know if I find anything about them. I'm related to the Fulrath side of the family.

Thanks, Nancy
