Bio

I have been tracing my own family tree for 20 years, building on the shoulders of others for my father's side, but gathering information on my mother's side almost entirely by myself. Recently, I have also started documenting my wife's family.

FindAGrave.com has been an extraordinary asset in this research, and I am happy to give back by assisting others as possible. You are welcome to freely copy and share any of my photos, just provide a link back here or my name so others can find me if they wish. I'm not looking for credit; I just enjoy being able to help others out in exchange for the assistance I have received.

The names on my father's side which I continue to research include Fleming/Killen/Webb/Stambaugh. ANY FLEMINGs IN NORTHERN IRELAND, please contact me as I would love to find out if we're distant cousins!

On my mother's side, I am researching the Crabtrees from Maine/North Carolina, and the Ashbys/Coles/Dupeys from northern Virginia.

My wife's family include the surnames Kaylor, Hill, Montague, Maddox, Wiggins, and Broaddus, among other names. These families are mostly from Alabama.

Feel free to contact here or on Facebook at http://facebook.com/tonyfleming

NOTE: I detest those Find-A-Grave members who pounce on recent deaths and don't have the common decency to allow family to create memorials first. I know what the guidelines allow, and they also allow waiting 30 days before you feel compelled to "not let someone be forgotten" after their family has had a chance for closure first. If you prefer to be a vulture and create a memorial before there is even a grave to be found, you should be ashamed of yourself. The act of creation (not begging for a transfer) means a lot to someone who has recently lost a loved one. Go memorialize all the thousands of older graves yet to be entered into the site first.
