Please use the new EDIT system when requesting factual updates and family links. Please note that I will not link to a memorial with burial unknown.|
I do NOT require a source of information before processing edit request's. As long as the information is reasonably correct, your edit will be processed. If I have a question in regards to your edit request, I will contact you for further explanation or clarification. As a memorial manager our duty is to either accept an edit request or decline it. It is not our place to hold an edit request hostage while waiting for you to explain your sources. Which frankly, we are NOT supposed to do anyway, although some members do. Which I find to be quite petty...IMHO.
I will gladly share my photos with anyone that wishes to use them. The only thing I ask is that you respect my time and efforts in obtaining, editing and uploading my photos. Please message or e-mail me first with your request to use my photos. Thank You!
I only transfer memorials that fall within Find a Grave's four generation guidelines. There is an abundance of information (including family links) that can be sumbitted for correction on ANY memorial that exists on this site. It doesn't even matter if the memorial is maintained by an inactive member or one who is deceased. All edits that pass the 21 day mark, are automatically processed by the FaG admins. Additionally FaG also maintains a lot of memorials that were created by inactive or deceased contributors. Edits submitted on these memorials are generally processed in less than 24 hours! A memorial does NOT need to be transferred in order to get edits/corrections or family links done.
Simply having someone in your family tree is NOT grounds for a transfer request.
The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal is to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
To request a transfer, please make sure that you submit your request by clicking on the EDIT tab on the memorial and then select Suggest any other correction or addition. Please make sure to state your relationship, reason for transfer and include your contributor ID.

Hello Chris do you mind if I save the copy of the headstone into my files? Please let me know so I can either keep it or get rid of it. Thanks for you help with taking pictures for others. It is people like you that help others complete family genealogies.
sincerely Kenneth R Britton

Thank you so much for responding to me. I do not have any additional information for you at this time. I noticed a memorial created but no photo request so I put one in. If I can supply you all with more info I will be in touch. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you for getting back with me concerning Acuff Cemetery. I will have to see if there is a way to get permission to photograph the cemetery.

I was wondering about Acuff Cemetery. Is it on private property? My husband and I visit cemeteries in Bosque County and surrounding areas. I would love to take photos for FindAGrave and document it on Historic Texas Cemeteries, a very nice Facebook group I am with. Would the landowners prefer that no pictures be taken? We are landowners and so I can understand and respect their wishes. Thank you for any information.
