Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have been researching our families for 30 years. We've walked many graveyards and "dug up" relatives near and far.

Some of Pat's family lines: Jones, Watts, Hammond, Pickens, Wilson, Capron, Adams, Kates, Johnson

Ron's lines: Reece, Nixon, Hazelwood, Eaton, Cooper, Gregory, Briton, Upton/Uptain

Since retiring in 2005, we have lived in a fifth-wheel trailer and traveled most of the year. We have spent much of our time in Texas but not visiting very many cemeteries or courthouse as we used to do on vacations. That is going to change some now.

It is so great to be able to contribute to the work that so many have done to catalog cemeteries and make this great research tool available to those who can't get to far places to see for themselves. It also feels very satisfying to be able to list family members who otherwise are unknown to others.

You are welcome to use for genealogy purposes any headstone or cemetery photos I take.

Understood. I always thought my fathers in laws first name was Cecil only to find out when he died that it was his middle name. I believe the markers and stick with that. I know they CAN be wrong too but I think they are the most reliable. It will be interesting to see which way the stone reads". I will contact you when I have photos.

Does the info match pretty well? When the records are transcribed years ago and again to digitize, sometimes there are changes. And I swear some clerks never could spell!

Pat and Ron, I have transferred the four Kates I created in Lakeview Cemetery. Please keep in mind that I added them strictly from cemetery records that are notoriously erroneous! Lol. I will add them to my priority photo list for this summer when I return to Lakeview.

Sorry,I can't remove link, I didn't add. Contact the person that created Robert Rufus' memorial. Ask them to remove link and ask them to connect actual wife-Mary.

Thanks Pat, for the info and giggles for William, and all has been applied. If you would like I will transfer his memorial to you as I am not related. Just let me know.

Dalton J. Nix
Family of George Washington Payne
This morning I received a request from a third party asking that I remove my post for Tempy Payne at Sauls Cemetery, because yours was older. I have removed my listing. I have a connection to this family and have some family information that I will share with you if you are interested. My direct connection is to their daughter Alice Missouri and her husband Harvey Andrew Nix, but I research entire families because of the additional information it provides about the area and the time in which they lived. I will share any that you are interested in. Dalton J. Nix daltonn@knology.net.
