Please feel free to use any of the headstone photos that I have posted on Find A Grave for your research (on trees, etc.).
|pbsancestry||Frederick A & Ellen O Buttrick|
I think William Arthur (who died in 1907) is probably also their son. On the 1910 census, Ellen lists that she has had 3 children and 1 is still living (their daughter, Mary, 5).

I am so glad that I got these headstones in my random photography out at Greenwood! I took these on two different trips (about a year apart), so I'm afraid that I don't remember if they were together, but somehow I think they were. Greenwood is a very large cemetery.
I don't have my photos organized well enough yet to be able to put my hands on the original jpg, but I looked at the headstone again and was able to read everything but the day and year of death - it is a headstone for Frederick Oliver Buttrick - I created a new record for him and will transfer it to you. I believe he is the son of the couple you have the wonderful photographs of, so I have linked him to his parents.
The curving print at the top is:
In Loving Memory
then the rest of the text is:
F. A. & E. O. BUTTRICK
I cannot make out the day and year.
If you get stuck on a point in your Atlanta research, let me know and maybe I can help (at least I'll be happy to try).
I believe the large Buttrick headstone was centered behind the flat separate headstones of Frederick and Ellen.
The big stone gate is the entrance to Greenwood Cemetery.

I just transferred all three of the Buttrick pages to you - Frederick A. & Ellen O. & William Arthur Buttrick.
Before I made the transfer, I linked Frederick A. & Ellen O. as husband and wife. I didn't know how William Arthur was related to them, but you can make the appropriate links if you want to now that you are managing their pages.
Good luck with your research - I love the photos of Frederick and Ellen - they're wonderful!

The photograph of Frederick is wonderful! We had some time after doing our own research the day we were at Greenwood, so we took as many photos of additional headstones as we could and uploaded them. Would you like me to transfer his page to you?
