Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a genealogy researcher for about ten years and have compiled binders of information on each branch of mine and my husband's ancestry. Pictures are treasures for a genealogist and I love it when I find new ones. My ancestors emigrated from Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway & Denmark. My husband's ancestors emigrated from England, Ireland and Canada.
Names are: Rulien/Arnquist, Jensen/Gilstad, Dascher/Schneider, Buchli/Buckli/Florin on my side and Steagall/Jarrel/Haney, Sharp/Bingham on my husband's side.

The Cemetery Fix / Merge isn't open until the first of April...
I'll send a note and see if we can get these three merged - which means there will be lots of dupes. Cest la vie. Thanks for the heads up.

My suggestion would be to go to your memorials and change the cemetery to the SS Peter and Paul AKA Montana Ridge. Then I can delete mine. If you'd like, I'll forward you the photos taken this last July.
As you most likely know, there's the Upper and Lower ridge cemeteries. My sister and I photographed both cemeteries, completely.
Let me know and I'll go back and delete mine.

Christs of Montana,
Originally there was a request for a CHRIST photo on the upper ridge cemetery north of Montana. My sister and I photographed the entire Upper Ridge cemeteries and there were no Christs there.
Driving to the town of Montana, near the church were several Christs buried. It started raining before we got too many graves photographed, but did discover Conrad and the unreadable stone.
Glad they were found.,

RE: Rulien graves
I will transfer Ernest to you, but I am not the owner of Beatrice Rulien Risenberger. Gwen Nolte is the owner so you can contact her about a transfer. There is also a George Risenberger page and I am thinking that is probably one of Beatrice's husbands. Gwen Nolte also owns that one.

As far as the obituaries go, if you access them through the Tacoma Library Northwest room-obituaries, you are right, there is a charge. If you contact the State Library in Olympia they will do look up for obituaries in any state newspapers. I think that it is done "as time allows" with their other work. I am not sure if there is a limit as to how many they do but you could contact them to find out. You could look up the information on the Tacoma Library site and give the State library the information about the news paper and the day and page it was published. Here is there contact information.

RE: Rulien graves
There is an Ernest William Rulien buried at Mt. View Cemetery in Tacoma. He is buried in the Military section not too far from his parents.

My information tells me that Andrew and Christina had 7 children: Avlda, Ernest, Almeda, Florence, Beatrice, Dorothy and Gordon. Other than the headstones for Andrew and Christina there are two other Rulien headstones in Mt. View. Beatrice Rulien Risenburger. I have the dates of birth and death for the Ernest at Mt. View as 8 April 1896 and date of death as 6 June 1945.

Do you have different information? Where does your info say he is buried? If this isn't the right Ernest that is the son of Andrew and Christina let me know and I will take away the family connection.

Thanks

Ernest W. Rulien
I uploaded a picture and created a page for Ernest W. Rulian who I believe is the son to Andrew and Christina. Let me know if you would like a transfer. He is also buried in the military section at Mt. View in Tacoma.
