Transplant from NH to AK. I'll try to get AK grave photos as requested. Snow somewhat limits accessibility; if requests for the area are still open come spring I'll try to get out to them. I'm new at this, so please be patient.

RE: Speddings in Massachusetts & elsewhere
Hi:

If you want, send me an email (I think I put this in my last message) and I will reply with copies of a couple of documents from the parish registers.

Cheers,

Tracy

Speddings in Massachusetts & elsewhere
Hi Kiska 77:

Thanks for contacting me. I had found the memorial pages you created for Stephen, Mary and their descendents and had mentally noted that I should contact you. But you beat me to it.

I am descended from Thomas Spedding (101258016), Stephen's older brother, and have been snooping around in the family attic for a few years. I find this family interesting in part because they illustrate what happened when the industrial revolution changed the way of life for the lower tiers of the british classes in the mid 1800's. So I have collected up quite a bit of info about them from Yorkshire.

My great grandmother was Florence Margaret Spedding (b 1880). She married Fred Jennison in Yorkshire and the family eventually emigrated in 1909 to North Dakota and later to Manitoba Canada. I also need to put in memorial pages for Florence, Fred and their family in Canada.

Did you know that another of Stephen's sisters (Margaret) also emigrated to Massachusetts? I created a memorial page for her (101051384) and have more info on her family to add to Findagrave when I get the time. Margaret and her family seem to have been the first to emigrate to North America, with Stephen/his family and then Harriet coming over a few years later.

I am happy to share what I have. If you want, contact me by by email tracymarchant at sasktel.net as it is easier to chat that way. I am located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada.

Cheers,

Tracy

ps. Do you know if Stephen had an earlier marriage, with his first wife dying young? I have a puzzling record from Yorkshire that seems to indicate this.

RE: Ruth B Furber
Hi,
I've added the info you sent to her bio. I'm not related, just added her to findagrave as part of a project to add all the Plaistow NH graves. I would be happy to transfer management to you, just ask.
Best wishes,
Mary Ellen
