Thank you to all who create memorials. Would love to visit every cemetery in person but I'm fairly sure that's not going to happen. Find A Grave is the next best thing.

Rhodes in Balby cemetery England
Not sure if it is of interest to you but have just added photos to many of the memorials that you have added to St John Church, Balby. Still adding photos so there will probably be more

RE: Nancy(Jane) Coupland
Hi Jerry
I've put photos of church on the cemetery page. I'm afraid the actual headstone is not readable in the photos I have taken so I shall return soon with water and a soft brush and try to clean it a little. There is a book in the church listing all graves which says there was possibly a mistake made by the mason and that Jane has possibly been changed to Ane (or attempted to). It does look as if efforts have been made to obliterate the 'J'. If you would like a copy of this book entry and the headstones send me your email to

Hello again
Yes I will go tomorrow and photograph your grave (weather permitting). My sister and I are going for lunch in Paull - about 4 miles away - but if it rains like it did today I won't be tramping around a cemetery ..... lol.
Micklefield ans Wakefield (West Yorkshire) are only about 12 miles apart so your assumption could well be right. Have you not been able to find the family on - maybe too far back.
Will get back to you and if it's ok I can post the photos straight to the memorial site.

Today I decided to see if I could find your relative's grave in Paull cemetery. There are a lot of old graves but even more spaces were graves were. I found nothing in this name but I did find a Jane Coupland, wife of James, died 18 January 1824 aged 45. Taking together death date and age makes the 1779 birth date correct. Could this be her grave, as I know due to my own research that people changed names at will years ago? If you think this could be your ggg aunt then I will return and photograph the grave, cemetery and part of the village of Paull. I will also go and look in the church itself when it is open as apparently they have a book of burials.

RE: Annie Mariah O'Dell
Thank you so very much, I don't have very much information on her right now, but I'm not giving up on my research. I have been called "Tenacious", and I'm pretty sure they are right. If (and when) I find out anything more I will let you know. Thank you again,

Annie Mariah O'Dell
I see that you have set up a memorial for my 2nd Cousin, Annie Mariah O'Dell and her family. I have been researching for 24 years, and am always elated when I come across information to help add to my family tree. What I would like is permission to use the photos you have posted on Find A Grave to use in my Ancestry family tree.

Thank you.

re; Rhodes family of Balby
Hi, I noticed you have set up some memorials for William Rhodes and family. I have also been entering the same memorials for St John the Evangelist, Balby where William, two of his sons and their wives and two daughters are buried. These should perhaps be merged. Let me know what you would like to do. D

RE: Pictures
I've posted the pictures. George Brubaker (Brewbaker) is my Great-Great Uncle. His sister Amy is my Great-Grandmother. I only have these pictures digitally. I believe I got them from my cousin Jim Boller who is actually named after Amy's husband - James Henry Boller.
