My Clem family arrived in SC in 1764 on at ship named The Dragon. In 2014 we will celebrate 250 years in America with a huge family reunion.|
In the process of my family research a distant cousin sent me a photo of my Great-uncle who had been killed in WWII; I had no idea how meaningful it would be to see a photo of a family member who died before I was born.
In the spirit of sharing that gift, I have taken up the graving hobby and wish to share every photo that I post. I may take the picture but the content belongs to the family.

You will never know how surprised I was to see the two headstones. Someone had already looked and couldn't find them. Thank you so much!! My grandmother was an Elrod.
I do check when I go after photo request because sometimes there are photo's already on the memorial. I don't know why some folks request a photo when one is already there unless (it's not a good one) that has happened as well. So, I check and if one is there I personally don't go after the photo or if I have already got a photo and it is better than the one on the memorial, I send a private message to see if the person wants me to e-mail the hard copy directly to them. Rough way to get started with Find A Grave but welcome to the Find A Grave family!:)

There is already a headstone photo exactly the same as the one you just added. Would you please look at the memorial and make proper adjustments? Thank you.

Thank you for taking these photos of my distant cousin's grave. I wondered if you minded if I used these pictures on my family tree?

Thank you so much for your attempt to find the headstone. I will leave the memorial up because you never know who may at some point get permission to get on the property.
Again, thank you for your time and effort
