I have just recently joined findagrave and was so impressed with the kindness of strangers to hunt down and locate family graves, that I decided to return the favor. If you have any requests for the Atlanta, Georgia Metro area, feel free to contact me at mlamias @ yahoo.com.

Thanks.

RE: Thanks!
We went to the office and they gave us the location with block, lot, and space. We then went to the location and saw the headstones that were next to where the headstone would have been if there had been a headstone/memorial. It was definitely a empty grass area large enough to contain a headstone if there had been one. The ground also has markers to verify block location.

RE: Gertrude Laird McAllister
Hi,

Gertrude's husband, William Alfred McAllister, is 1st cousin 2x removed of my husband, so we are only related to her by marriage.
I got the picture and all the information on William and Gertrude, from our book, "A Branch of the McAllister Family in America," compiled by the late Gertrude McAllister Means, in 1976.
This is all I have on Gertrude. Sorry that I can't be more help, but you may use the photo, if you wish.

Thanks for the interest.

RE: Thanks for the picture
Mr. Perry was a great man. I knew him for about thirty years. We used to drink a few cold ones in some bars on the Southside of San Antonio. He was a person with a knowledge of electronics and helped many people repair electrical items. He is missed by the few of his old friends that are still alive, most of the old timers have all passed on. I met a few of Mr. Perry's family members at his funeral, I had never met them before then. His son Paul "Butch" passed away in 2002 and is buried in the row right behind Mr Perry. I was honored to add the grave picture for Mr Perry, he was a good man.
