I changed the date to Nov 17. I took a look at the death certificate & agree w/ your conclusions.
I photoed all of Dixon Cemetery and there wasn't a headstone for Marion at that time. I had a cemetery reading from Boyd Co KY Library that I used as a guide.

Thanks for adding the photo to his memorial. You may want to add to Elizabeth's as well.
|Ellen Walcutt Brown||RE: Relationship between William Walcutt & John Macy Walcutt|
Good morning, Arlene.
I am not really a genealogist but I do like to supply photos of our family where I can. I think it helps to see their faces!
My understanding is that William Macy Walcutt, Born 2 Nov 1794, (Loudon County, KY) was the father of William Wallace Walcutt (the artist and sculptor),born 28 April 1819, died 21 April 1882 (Columbus, OH).
As you can see from the photo I posted, William (the son) was a very handsome man. His wife Agnes Leeds died young and beautiful and he grieved for her. They also lost a very young daughter Marilla to illness and he sculpted a beautiful bust of her that my brother David owns. William Walcutt was my great, great, great grandfather.
Not to confuse you, but there is another William Macy Walcutt (son of William, the artist), who was born Sept 1867, died about 1919.
Yes, it gets a bit confusing so I don't do the genealogy thing much! I believe my dates, etc to be accurate according to better genealogist's records, but verification is always a good thing!
Hope this helps a bit...
So glad that grandfather is now in great hands
