I'm 61, and my mother's co-caregiver. After growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I took an early retirement from the University of Illinois at Chicago to move to Old Saybrook, CT on the CT shoreline to care for my mom in her later years after my dad's passing in 2007. I'm active in the Baha'i Community, and a singer with Baha'i Choirs. I've also gotten hooked on genealogy following our family reunion in London in 2008.|

I updated Rebecca's bio to say that she likely died prior to 1686 as her husband Jonathan married another lady in that year. I guess we always assume for these early multiple marriages that death of a spouse makes them sequential but it is also possible that a divorce occurred. Any idea of a source which says she died in or before 1686? I know the "Genealogy of the Bigelow Family of America" (1890) says she did but the book doesn't cite references.

I am simply trying to get my non-family memorials to family. I hate lose ends, and I AM getting older. Glad you are willing to take them!
I changed her name to Rutha per her headstone, but I don't feel comfortable changing her birth place and death place since I don't have any evidence of these places. She was buried in Niagara County, New York, but that does not mean she was born or died there. -- Teresa

I recently had someone else contact me about the same thing, but I can't
find the sent email where we discussed it.
The original poster of the memorial had him listed in NJ, based on the
information in the article that he posted (the creator is in bad health and
transferred most of the cemetery to me since I enjoy keeping up with the
burials and keeping the Find A Grave page for it updated).
The lady that contacted me a few months ago was also concerned about the
birth location. I think we looked at 4 or more census records, and at least
3 different birth states were listed. Rhode Island, New Jersey, and
Massachusetts were listed. I don't know where the birth information that
was provided in the referenced article came from, but I decided to leave it
that way since it was in his biography.
Maybe I should put a note at the bottom that it appears he was born in
Masssachusetts instead of what the article says, What do you think?
