RE: Margaret Smith

I assume you mean Margaret Smith that is buried in Westlawn cemetery, Find A Grave # 119643101. In the future, please provide a link or Find A Grave number with your questions.

The information I have for Margaret comes from Stark County Cemetery Inscriptions volume 7 page 126. This information was compiled by volunteers that walked the cemetery in the early 1980s and recorded information from gravestones. If you want to be sure that the information was recorded correctly I suggest you request a picture of the gravestone.

Margaret is buried in section W row 2 and lies between Elizabeth A Smith and Fred Smith.

I hope this helps.

RE: Harry and Laura V. Carney
I saw that memorial and thought the same thing about Morgantown.

Bill would take off and would be gone for awhile and come back and then take off again and come back...very disrespectful to the family - gives me the impression that he really didn't care. Bill lived near his brother Okey Bruce "Oak" Carney in the latter part of his life. I understand that he lost a hand in a mill accident - no one has ever really sat down to gather info about Bill and, honestly, is it worth the time?

I tried about 10/15 years ago to communicate with Harry and Earney's sister Genevieve Carney Myers via phone and snail mail but she wasn't very forthcoming with info. I got the impression that there were things that she just wouldn't discuss, one being her father...she was the one that told me that he lived the latter part of his life near his brother "Oak" and that was about it.

My email is zoomie2k (at) hotmail (dot) com - I write it this way so netbots don't sniff and use my address to send junk. If you want to email instead of using this forum, I can give you my phone number and I'll get out my Carney book.

Your second cousin by marriage

RE: Harry and Laura V. Carney
no, we don't have any pics of Harry and Laura - I have very few of Earney and would be surprised if any existed of their father John William "Bill" Carney, not a very respectable man from what I have learned over the years.

I don't know anything about Mary Jane Yoho and Earnest/Ernest Suter but dig a little 'Googling' and someone as in their info that she was married a second time after Ernest died to a Charles Shaffer. Maybe a different set of folks but...don't know. I haven't been able to find Mary or Ernest in Findagrave or any info of where they might be buried.
