Barney O'Donnell
COPY OF YOUR NOTE TO ME:
I'm a descendant of Emily, 6th chilld of Barney
Dear Ms. Whittemore
A section of my book has a short synopsis of the O'Donnell's, including a letter sent to her grandson, Willliam Whipple in 1892. I will be pleased to send you a copy if you will send your email address. Thanks,
Dr. Charles Whipple

MY REPLY:
Dear Charles,
I would dearly love a copy of the letter you are referring to. Also what is the Name of the Book you are also referring to? I remember a Bob but can't recall the last name at this moment (I think Applegate) having a very detailed genealogy on the Barney O'Donnell family history. Unfortunately, it is inaccurate on my Branch starting with my Grandpa Roy Theodore Brown. They have him listed as Roy Lee when he went by Roy T. also being married 2 times when he was only married 1 time in a triple wedding ceremony with his brother and sister. My Grandpa was married over 50 years to his one and only wife and the other brother and sister's spouses died before their anniversary. If you are interested, I have a public family tree on the O'Donnells on ancestry. I can send you an invitation if you want to see it.
My e-mail address is: CarAn269@aol.com

RE: Location of Whitewater Cemetery
I'm so sorry this took so long. I was laid-up with a back injury for the last few months. The Cemetery Restoration Professional is from Connersville, IN (Franklin County) His name is John "Walt" Walters Tel number 765-825-7313 His email is graveyardgroomer@gmail.com and website is www.graveyardgroomer.com. I've worked with Walt and his crew many times at the Indiana Historical Society. He's the best around here!

RE: Location of Whitewater Cemetery
I would suggest contacting the Indiana Historical Society. They'll know the procedures for moving the headstones.
I've worked with a professional cemetery preservationist if you'd like your stone erected correctly. They'll use the same type of stone to patch it. If you use cement or an adhesive stronger than the stone itself it'll deteriorate faster.
Knock on the door of the house that has the first driveway off of Drewersburg. They are quite gracious and will take you to the exact spot - it's private property so you'll want to touch base with them first.

RE: location of whitewater cemetery in franklin county indiana
Dr. Whipple: It's no wonder you didn't find the cemetery - it's because you're looking for one. The state of this particular cemetery is definitely a 0.5 on a 10 scale. It's on private property. I rate it a 0.5 only because some of the stones can be found.
The Whitewater cemetery is on the northeast corner at the intersection of Johnson Fork and Drewersburg Roads. It's located on the slope at the side of Johnson Fork. There is a green cemetery sign that gets overgrown during the summer months. The property owner's house sits on the hill and drive entrance is off of Drewersburg. Your best time to go is in the late fall/winter when summer growth has died but before spring growth. Should you drive here again, please contact me. I'll make sure you visit Jesse. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
