RE: Pleasant Pendergrass
I transferred memorials to your care for Bob Pendergraff and Robert Benjamin Pendergraff, Jr. They are not father and son. I looked back in my file and I did not find a photograph of Susan Pendergraff's marker. However, the marker of Bob Pendergraff was next to the marker of Pleasant Pendergrass. Their ages are right for them to be father and son.
Happy searching, D. L.

This change seem logical. If you look at historical documents the cursive double s (ss) look very similar to how we would write "ff" today only with a more loopy, fluid movement. Also, the two sound very similar. I would say it was more of an evolutionary change than a deliberate one, but definitely both forms of the name were used interchangeably. Thanks for contacting me. Taliaferro headstone

On the memorial for Elva Lee Taliaferro 146613538 and S Katherine Taliaferro 146613440, they are not husband and wife.

They are either mother & daughter or aunt & niece, I haven't found the actual connection yet.

Also, the "S" stands for Sadie.

Thank you!

Transfer Request
Hello Brenda,
I was born and partially raised in Madisonville, KY. I appreciate your interest in bringing families together again. Please transfer my great grandmother Dellar M. Tirey (memorial #146614200) and my great grandfather Andrew J. Tirey (memorial #146109662) to me (contributor #47256943). Note, I also sent an edit requesting this a few days ago. Thanks in advance for all of your time and effort.

RE: Prospect Cem.
Hi Brenda,

I see in your bio you are in Evansville, Indiana. Come south on Hiway 41to Madisonville, Ky. Go all the all through down town Madisonville staying on 41 which turns to Main Street. You are on north Main Stree untill you cross the middle of town and it turns to south Main. Main and Center streets are the middle of town. Go a few blocks, about 5 and turn right or west McLaughlin or Hiway 70. It is about 10 miles to Beulah. You will be at a cross road with Hiway 109. Go through it and continue on Hiway 70 about 5 miles or so. After going around a sharp curve you will go left to continue following Hiway 70, going straight the road turns into 291. After turning left almost immediately you will see a sign on the right for Prospect Church. You have to make a sharp turn then bear left it it will take you there and the road goes on and comes out on 291 down the road from where you turned left on 70. So you can get to the cemetery either way.

I would be glad to meet you at Beulah and let you follow me. I have lots of family there too. I make my rounds to most the cemeteries around here that my family is in. I live not far from Prospect.
