Just a quick message to let you know that I received and claimed your request to photograph the Chellis headstones in Virginia Beach VA. If I can't make it over there this Friday, I'll go on a nice day next week (rather than a cold gloomy day). Note: some cemeteries here require preauthorization to photograph others' sites, I'll let you know if I run in to any obstacles that might cause a delay. Also, I notice it says Violet Busko Chellis was born in Clearfield County, PA....my paternal grandparents were from Clearfield County. TTYS -Jamie
Good morning Mr. Smith. I received your message regarding Gene Smith. The closest memorials that I manage under that name are Daryl Eugene Smith (#47881767) and Eugene Dillard Smith (#45785721). Might you be talking about one of those? Also what is/was the name of your Great Aunt? And no, I am not related to any of those folks. If you can answer those questions for me, I will try to see what I can come up with (if anything). Thank you.

My maiden name is Shaffer, but I doubt we have a connection. My Shaffer ancestors are from Beaver County & I haven't found any to date that are in Huntingdon County. I see you are searching for Schells also. That was a prevalent name in Bedford County at one time & I've seen numerous stones when looking. I tried to access your site, but was unable. However I did check out your genealogy presentation. Impressive! It's wonderful that someone your age is already taking an interest. Keep up the great work!

We couldn't easily find if Doris is still alive or not. There is no listing for her in our phone book. Maybe if you contact Forest Hills Funeral Home, they might have some info or can suggest someone to call. Even though the personnel at the cemetery have always been cooperative with us when we go there to take photos, they may be more forthcoming to you because you are part of Victor's and Doris's family.

You are welcome, Lonnie. I see that you have about everything I have on the Busko lineage, but I can provide some more information on June's lineage if you decide to build that line (Parks and Craig) into your genealogy database.
