I enjoy adding memorials and photos, and linking family members when I can. The cemeteries I photograph usually go hand in hand with researching family members. |
So far most of my work in F.A.G. has been in the St Landry parish, LA area but I have taken a few photos in Missouri, when I get back home now and then.
I do not care about the volume of memorials that I manage; if you are family to a memorial and would like a transfer please feel free to ask. If that person isn't related to me I'll be more than happy to switch them over to a family member. A lot of my memorials are very old and it's not possible to be a son/daughter or grandchild. I just don't understand why folks want to hold on to people's memorials that they aren't related to. I'm just glad to have created a memorial or added a photo that someone needed!
The only restrictions I would place on my photos would be restrictions given by F.A.G. For my part, I am glad to have a forum to share such personal information for other F.A.G. members. I'm happy that I was able to provide such a small thing as a photo that means something to someone that needs or wants it. The spirit of this site is giving...we're all supposed to be helping each other.
So, in the intended spirit of the F.A.G. website, please feel free to request changes and transfers, and to use my photos per the F.A.G. guidelines.
Have a great day, and happy headstone hunting!

I uploaded an excel spreadsheet last week for section 13. I don't know what happened but it looks like some of my lines from the excel spreadsheet uploaded blank. I will have to delete those entries and compare my excel list to my photos and manually add those that were missed.
I'm on a roll to finish St. Landry Catholic Church. I have to re photograph section 9 & 15 because I took my sim card out of my camera and left it on my nightstand and my dog chewed it up. Lesson learned. I do most of my work in the fall, winter and spring. I do go in the summer time but it takes me longer to photo because I have to fight the heat and the hornets and yellow jackets (note: yellow jackets love artificial flowers, they build nest in them, you can usually hear the humming first but they have lite me up). I try t go twice a month to photograph, that leaves me two weekends a month for keeping my place up.
Thank you for the heads up about the blank memorials.

Thanks, I will. I had asked if you wanted to upload it (memorial # below) so that your name remained attached to it. But, I can save and reload, if you would prefer. Just let me know. :-)

Hello, I have added burial to this cemetery and I noticed that you posted a photo on the "cemetery" page. For some reason, that photo is not showing up on the memorial I created. Could you please add the photo of the cemetery and the description you had posted directly on the memorial? The memorial is Evelina Burleigh Blalock (#127646886). If you can, thanks!
