Remember our Veterans for all their service and sacrifice. Love to do my walking in cemeteries as they are so peaceful. Spend time at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St Louis as I have three generations on both sides of my mothers side buried there.

Thank you in advance for any edits or added info that you may send to me as I Probably will not send individual messages.

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Edward Daniel Meier
I'm so thankful for all you've done to record Bellafontaine cemetery. I had started uploading pictures of Meier circle and archiving the graves there and then lost all my pictures to a computer crash. I'm requesting you update the information on your Edward B. Meier you uploaded. His actual name is Edward Daniel Meier. He was a Colonel in the war against the states in the Union Army, and distinguished Mechanical Engineer and former president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and author of the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code and President of Hiene Boiler Company. Thanks so much for updated his page:-)

Greetings: You might enjoy reading this fine little article about Shapleigh Hdwe. of which Mr. Yantis was president. It was started in 1843 & well enough established by the time gold was discovered in CA that they made a truly fantastic fortune supplying prospectors going West. They always knew how to take advantage of a situation. The person who wrote this article has such a fine sense of how brief articles should be written! Yantis rose up through the ranks.

Nichoalds Family
Thanks for all your work on the Nichoalds Family. My great grandfather's name was Nichols and it has been difficult doing research with the name spelling variances. Nichoalds, Nicolds, Necholds, Nichols. We may be related somehow! Cheers, Clint

We are in process of resetting the stone that marks Ida's grave. Do you have any details about her short life? Was she following in her Artist father's footsteps. I notice her artist pallet on her stone.

Joseph & Melissa Phipps
I see that Joseph & Malissa Phipps that are buried in Lakeside Cemetery in Holly, MI are your Great Great Great Grandparents. They also had a daughter Mary who married Elliot Church. I have a photo of a Phipps/Church Reunion that took place in 1907. Joseph is not in it because he passed away in 1891 but Malissa Phipps, maiden name Peck is in the picture. Let me know if you would like me to make you a copy of the photo. Susan Church-Brown
