WHY THIS MARKER HAS TWO NAMES -
GGGGD of Malinda was taken to the cemetery in the late 1990's by Noel Moser. Uncle Noel was believed to have been present at the funeral and had seen the hand crafted stone many times. Uncle Noel supposed time and the elements had withered it away. Paula was most disappointed neither the stone or Uncle Noel's recall of her grave site could not be found.
This stayed in Paula's mind and heart for years as we believed she raised three of her four sons (our GGF's) to be sterling examples of manhood. We talked aout sharing the cost of a replacement marker. Due age and her health, Paula would be leaving the area soon to live with a daughter in TN and took more immediate action. While inquiring at a local marker shop, the owner proposed she use one of the unclaimed markers in his inventory. He inscribed the blank side of Ashley Wilson's marker with Malinda's info.
Paula carried the marker in her car trunk for some time before she braved the trip back to Union Cem. alone. She deposited the marker in a vacant spot she believed was near where Uncle Noel and she had searched years ago.
Paula's phone and e-mail no longer work. Being about 94 now, she may be gone too.

Your kindness to search and take and add a photo of her stone is amazing. I knew if one was found there would be a chance it was in bad shape. I am so grateful that you cared enough to search and find it. People like you make this site such a joy to work on..
