The genealogy bug bit me a few years ago so I've got a great hobby, but don't have as much time as I'd like to be able to spend on it. It will be something to look forward to in retirement.|
In the New Milford area there are some quite old cemeteries that I wouldn't mind having an excuse to explore. Some of the cemeteries here are very large so unless the request is for a smaller cemetery, please obtain information from the cemetery's caretaker regarding the location of the grave. I'm happy to help, but my free time is pretty limited so I don't really have hours to spend searching through a cemetery.

Elle, I have seen the notes you have left in at least two of the cemeteries in Boothbay and want to let you know that I am taking care of those requests. I have been covering this area for a few years and have found that it is necessary to actually go out and find cemeteries. It is not possible to find them all online. I found Decker on Southport some time ago when there were only two recorded burials and I have since added all the other interments that have stones. It is located on the road that goes left just after Robinson's Wharf. Evergreen in Boothbay Harbor is located on Barter's Island Road. I live in the area and am hoping to get more info into Find A Grave for the Boothbay cemeteries so that it will be easier for volunteers to locate them. Thank you for your help. Sharon

Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this project. John's wife was named Margaret, so you are probably correct about the smaller stones. I really appreciate what you have done.

Yes they are apparently different names for the same cemetery. When I went to enter the names there were already some names that other people had listed in only one. If I had not listed everybody in both of them it would have furthered the impression that they were two different places. If they had been listed in the same town it would have been one thing but unfortunately they are not, one is listed in boothbay and one in boothbay harbor, so to see they same names you have to look at the county level and the picture would be obscure. Everything should really be consolidated in Pear St but I don't know how to make that happen.

Elle, Thanks for taking the time to take a better picture and for the correct cemetery information. I live in Oregon. It would have been a long trip for me to get a picture. By
my information John Beath could be Walter's
son. A few years ago I was in Boothbay Harbor
with friends on a New England Tour. Loved the area. At that time I didn't know I had ancestors
buried there. Thanks again. Edith

Left a note regarding Letha Kennedy at Key West. Apparently she is not buried in this Coffey County Kansas cemetery.

Thank you so much for checking on my ancestor John Beath. I was in Boothbay 10 years ago and photographed the Beath tombstones in that cemetery. Several years ago, I began organizing the photographs on Find A Grave and was distressed that I might have missed John. It is doubtful that I will make the trip again from Texas, so I am relieved to know that at least I did not overlook his headstone. If you are able to upload what you were able to get, I will be very grateful. Thank you so much for your efforts.

I have added Clessent Dowell, Jennie V. Dowell, and Calvin Dowell. I also added Sarah Jane Kennedy, William Washington Kennedy and Guy R. Kennedy. I don't believe that are other Dowells or Kennedys in the Key West Cemetery.
Let me know if you want any of these memorials transfered to your name.

Let me know if you need additional photos of markers in Key West. I have taken photos of the entire cemetery.
Thank you for photographing the photos of Isaac Marshall Giles and Norman P. Giles. Steve
