Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thank you to everyone who has contributed information and worked to make Find A Grave such a great site. I hope you will find useful at least a bit of information I have provided. The photos I have made and posted are for you to use in your genealogy and family history work, and no credit to me is necessary. If you have any additional information to add to a memorial I will gladly transfer the memorial to you regardless of the relationship as long as it is not my direct line. If you find any errors or duplicates I have made please let me know and I will be glad to make the corrections. I would like to ask that you use the edit tab on the memorial to request transfers, make corrections or add information.

Epps Family
I believe the son listed under William Jesse Epps, James Arthur 1900-1918, is actually his brother. William did have a son, James Arthur, but he wasn't born until about 1932.

Dora, if you have sent me edits for corrections, you do not need to send me an email also. Thanks

Oh my gosh no - your corrections are not a burden at all! I appreciate every one I get. I am a little behind as I am taking care of my father right now, but I get them done. Thank you! LG

John P. McKissick
Thanks so much for editing John P McKissick's profile. I see now that I made a mistake and sent you a wrong link. His mother is listed as his father! I will send you another edit request to fix my blunder. THANKS SO MUCH.

As members of the Walhalla DAR, we would like to put a DAR wreath on her grave. She was one of the founding daughters of our chapter 100 years ago on the 10th of October. I found her father and her father in law but not her. Can you help me? Nan Jones, Walhalla DAR

Evelyn "Mimie" Medford Williams
Memorial #36838128 established 5/7/2009 for Evelyn.

Her maiden name was Evelyn Telitha McNabb. Her parents were Humphrey M. McNabb and Levina Medford. Mary married Samuel Grant Massie 4/22/1888 in Haywood Co., NC, They were the parents of three children, the last being born in 1899.

According to some research I did, Samuel shot a man that was having an affair with Mary. The story goes that he and Mary never reconciled after the incident. I don't know if it was because of his going to prison or not. The story continues that Mary was a housekeeper for Sewell C. Medford (her 1st cousin) and bore children by him during their relationship. Even though I can find no evidence of a marriage between Sewell and Mary their 6 children had the name of Medford. Evelyn was the 5th of the six.

My computer is not cooperating with me finding where I filed the original story about them but hope this helps.

Best regards

martha Hames
I may have been hasty in my thoughts on Martha Hames grave. I have since found out that Thomas had a daughter named Martha, the stone near him may be her. Geneology work is such a hit or miss business.
