Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Madison, Wisconsin and have been researching my family tree for about a decade. Surnames I'm researching include: Daft, Kading, Gauslin, Moore, Thielen, O'Connor, Gotsche, Jensen, Blake, Siebert, and Sturpett. I'd love to hear from anyone who thinks we might have a connection.

I'm happy to transfer memorials to anyone who asks, unless the memorials are for my family members. I'd rather see memorials in the hands of relatives or friends.

Feel free to use all grave photos taken by me however you like, no need to ask permission, but it's great to hear from people I've been able to help.

I've recently started photographing at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison. My camera is a few years old and I have unsteady hands, so if you find a photo that isn't great and you'd like a better one, please feel free to ask, I won't be offended. To my knowledge, I'm not related to anyone buried at Forest Hill. As of 18 May 2013, I have photographed all visible markers in sections 1 and 2 and half of section 3.

Andrew,

My personal email is dancrdawn2@aol.com. I will look you up on Ancestry when I get home tonight. I am just leaving for work. I'll also look into the camp ground- that sounds pretty cool. Is your Daft family German? I'm envious of your Wisconsin locale. Wish now that was state-side- lol! I want to come back to Wisconsin to do some looking around. My mother's mothers people are all from Lake Church/Port Washington! Small world.
Talk soon Cousin!

Kindly,
Dawn

RE: Elmer Barlow
Hello Andrew,

Your great Aunt Betty, is my 2nd cousin, twice removed. She and I share a common grandfather- William Barlow, who homesteaded in Arcadia, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin.
You then, must be related through her husband, Fred Daft! Very cool!

I belong to William Barlow via his son, Alfred, who moved west to homestead in western Minnesota in the 1870's. Elmer is descended from Williams's son Robert, who stayed in Arcadia.
These must have been some amazing people!

We were excited to find Elmer, as much was detailed about his life. I'm learning that many branches of my family came out of Wisconsin. I grew up believing it was only my mother's side of the family (both Sicilian and Luxembourger immigrants) who settled in Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties. It wasn't until this last year that I started finding the Barlows and others there too!
Wisconsin must have been a very popular stop along the way west. My people all seem to have taken this route and I cannot really find anyone who took a southern path.
I live in England now. Just moved here a year ago. Are you on Ancestry.com? I'd be happy to share my page with you.
Kindly,
Dawn

RE: William Posey Moore
There is a Laura Perkins next to him, 109726589. There is no marker, only the temporary one supplied by the cemetery.

I found this obituary for her.

RE Ken Larson
Hi, I've made the changes for Kenneth Larson. Would you like me to transfer his memorial to you?

Glad I could locate them for you.

Blessings,

Catherine Seidenglanz Bishop
photo has been taken for Catherine. Along side is her daughter Justine Roubal; but I just wanted to let you know that also along side her were: Charles, Anna, Louie and Anna Seidenglanz. I photographed each of their headstones and added them to Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. They are possibly her parents and siblings.
