I am a lawyer, living in Albuquerque and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am researching the descendants of James R. Walker from Mecklenburg, North Carolina; the descendants of Julius Jones from (probably) Mecklenburg; the English family from Ohio to Oklahoma and beyond; the Simmons family out of Denison, Texas; the Stewarts from Bienville Parish, La.; the descendants of John Wood of Bolton, Lancashire, England who emigrated to Rock Island, Illinois; the descendants of Nicholas Knapp who came with the Saltonstall Fleet in 1630; and many others. I still work full time and am a recent grandfather, so my time to help is limited, but if I can do it, I certainly will.|

Thank you so much for the additional information on William and Laura Nelson that are buried in Edgington, Illinois. I have updated their memorial pages with the information.

Thanks for the information on Annette Lockett. It is really great to get things put together. I have a lot of bits of information. It good to get details.
The only things more I've noticed are that Hollis is not buried by her parents, and that Gertrude Shipman's SS card was issued in California.
Hollis Raines' will shows a W. R. Wimberly as the plantiff...a creditor?...but dismissed for lack of prosecution.
wow...Hollis has been much more difficult to find ANYthing on than 99.9% of those I've tried, and I still cannot locate her as a child. Will have to put her on a list to find an obituary for whenever I might actually go to the physical library. Gertrude's Poer brothers do not have online obits either.
You know, Alfred, I'm starting to think that Hollis Raines was the son-in-law of Gertrude Poe Shipman rather than her daughter who is always refered to as "Mrs. Hollis Raines." I can find nothing in the censuses (specifically 1920 & 1930) for a girl named Hollis with mother Gert*, but all are boys. And, unfortunately, Hollis Raines died in a year that is not online to check for her/his own obituary. And since I researched her about seven years ago, I cannot remember the records (which seem to be missing from online databases now) I found for this family back then. No trees entered in ancestry.com give a first name for a man named Raines who Hollis may have been married to, either...but I'll keep looking.
