Genealogy is a new hobby for me since April of 2012 and this site has been quite helpful in finding and verifying information on my ancestors. It only took me two-and-a-half years to figure out that Find-a-Grave is not just read-only, it is interactive. As it is becoming more apparent that all these family records, including burials, depend on someone taking the time to share what they find so those who follow also have something to find, I am happy to do my part by sharing the information I have collected. I am willing to providing accurate and reliable information from my collection, and may even be willing to provide some small amateur research assistance.
My primary purpose was, for several months last winter, to link family members' memorials and add pictures supporting those links. This last Spring my focus was shifted to a large collection of family pictures I inherited from an uncle. Now my original and continuing purpose is to link memorials and add pictures. It never has been about numbers because I don't want a massive amount of upkeep. I will still log-in here to post a picture, look for a memorial or check messages as often as I have time.

Hermann Fass

Hermann Fass, although he lived in the same county and town as we do is a mystery. I have been not been able to trace much information on him. My husband is the great grandson of Klass B. Fass, also from Sterling, Johnson Co., Nebraska. I was going to send you a PDF file of what I do have on Albert Fass, but cannot attach files here. I do not have Hermann as a brother to Albert Fass. I suggest that if you have, do a search for Albert Fass and in the family trees that show from that search, contact Weers200. The Weers, Fass, Wehmeers are all from the Nemaha County, Nebraska area. They have done extensive research on the Fass' families in that area. They may be of some help. You can use my name as they are distant cousins of my husband.
Good Luck

George Corliss
Hi Steven,

Use the alphabetical index, scroll down, click the hyperlink in the row with his name.

I know I should post a credit to the photos, and I normally would, but I'm too pressed for time as I am out of country now. I was looking for info on another person's memorial that I manage and that I suspected was killed in WWI and stumbled across this, so I quickly cut and pasted the photos as I could.

Interesting family history, Makes me wonder why the nephew only used horses and not tractors to do his farm work. I may know the easy answer, but I'll bet the true answer would run much deeper as to why someone would wave off modern technology in favor of the old way. I suspect war shapes ones thinking in many ways.

George Corliss, # 106026203
Hi Steven,

I am not related to the Corliss family, to the best of my knowledge, but I do thank you for the offer of an invite in case I was. I am just another Find member sharing things.

I do not know if I mentioned this in the caption, but George was apparently wounded in action. I do not have the details as to this event.

Hi Steven,

I ran across a WWI photo of George and posted to his memorial. Hopefully you will approve, though perhaps you will want to resort.

Your GG Grandparents are transferred along with others requested except Dorothy Bird Corliss. I do not edit her memorial page. Great Photos! Becky

Steven, I have no information for you. I saw where she is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery, OKC but didn't see her name in the Fairlawn Cemetery transcription list. Here's the list of Noble County cemeteries

RE: Stewart
Just okayed the edits. Do we need to do anything with their names - maiden, full first names, etc.?
