RE: Alfred Brown-Brown Family
Me again Angela, I see now you were asking for directions to the cemetery. I was given coordinates when the request came in. I do recall responding to whom ever sent the request...this young man told me he was going to travel down and attempt to uncover the stones himself. Evidently he had an unpleasant experience trying to get permission to go on the property. I am not sure I still have access to those coordinates....I recall taking a picture of the street sign (Brown) I will do some searching in my computer and see if I can find that info. Don't hesitate to email me if need be. Pam

RE: Alfred Brown-Brown Family
Hi Angela, I did attempt to get a picture of the stones in the Brown Family Cemetery. My husband and I set out with the coordinates that were given to me. We used our garmin and it directed us to turn left right into the woods. So we got out of the car and walked into the dense woods. We never saw any headstones but I believe they are there and covered with many years of fallen leaves. There was a large tree near the coordinate point which lead me to believe they were buried under the tree. I did leave a paper and pen in a hole in the tree incase anyone else went looking, they would know someone had already been there. Also with the instructions I was given I was told that a Mr Holden owned the when I returned home I called him. He is in his 80's or more....he said he thought there was a cemetery in there. I also read online a post from someone I can't recall right now that Mr Holden was not very receptive of people going on his property. (I told them to ask forgiveness...not permission) Also suggested when they come to bring heavy rakes...that is what is needed to find the stones. I also suggested the county be notified b/c the county is interested in preserving old cemeteries and you may have their support. I believe this cemetery should be found and marked....this Mr Brown had a lot to do with this area...and his resting place needs to be marked. You may email me directly if you'd's Let me know if you have any more questions.....

RE: Jobe Holden Cemetery
Take the second entrance into Sea Aire Estates and the take a right on Carsten's Way. The cemetery is located on the left of the drive behind the will see a chain link fence that encloses the cemetery. I made several trips before I found it...Mr Carsten is a great guy..he showed me around.
