RE: Adalee Ora Holbert Doty
So nice to hear from you, Cheryl! I've missed our chats too. :)

You will notice that I've transferred your family memorials to you. (I've had such fun working on them with you!) I know you've told me not to but I know you, and you're not a name collector AND you and your sister continue to do so much family research that I've always been more comfortable with the idea of the memorials being in your name. (I added the note to Adalee's memorial as you requested before transfer.)

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do, or if I missed a family member. Tell your sister I said "hello", and let's talk again soon. :) (Btw, your new picture is beautiful!)

Doty family
I have a photograph of Harley Doty's marker, taken at Beverly Hills Cemetery located in Westover, WV. His grave was located next to the spot where Adalee is buried. She has no marker. If you want to create a memorial for Harley, I will post my picture.

Adalee Doty
I went to the location where I was told Adalee was but there was not a marker. However, there was a military marker for Harley R. Doty April 29, 1913 to Oct l, 1965. I did photograph this marker and if you would like it, please create a memorial.

RE: Recent Photo's
No problem, I'm having a blast finding all of these little cemeteries. Thank you for helping me with the information for several of them.

RE: Holbert Cemetery

Yes, I received some photos from you. It appears you and your friends had a good time on your visit to Little Bingamon and the cemetery.

The photos are very nice.

I told "irisheyes" that I am planning to visit the cemetery myself sometime around memorial day. If there is anything else you might want in terms of info or photos, let me know beforehand

RE: Holbert Cemetery

And it is nice to meet you as well!

As for the other Holbert Cemetery, yes this is the one I am referring to. It has the grave of Michael Holbert, who is the father of B.V Holbert. I am not certain exactly where it is located, but I suspect abour four or five miles down the road from the Holbert cemetery we are both discussing. I would love to see some photos of that cemetery as well.

This coming memorial day weekend, I will be visiting the large Shinnston masonic cemetery, and plan to get a few photos of the Ogdens and maybe the Holberts from there.

Please stay in contact

RE: Holbert Cemetery

Thank you for your reply. As for me, my great grandparents are Daniel and mary ellen (Holbert) Ogden. Their graves are in the far back corner of the cemetery. Mary Ogden was the oldest child of Silas V Holbert.

I still plan to visit the cemetery this spring, since I only live about one hour away. Recently, I had a heart attack and the family doesnt want me to make that walk all alone, so I need to find someone to go with me.

In addition, there is another Holbert Cemetery, which is much older, and it is located near mannington. someday I hope to locate it as well

Holbert Cemetery

Just a quick note to thank you for the photos and transcription of the Holbert Cemetery on Little Bingamon recently.

I was planning to visit this cemetery this coming memorial day weekend. the last time I was there, the weeds were up to my waist and I fell a couple of times. What condition did you find the cemetery in? It has been almost 12 years since I was there, and I was afriad the woods would have taken over.

Again, my thanks. And I will be visiting soon, so if other photos need taken, please let me know
