Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family tree since 2001. It's something I always wanted to do, but put it off. I have an undergraduate degree in history, the genealogy is a great hobby for exploring my interests, and making history personal.

My mother's ancestors all came from the UK and Ireland: Thornton, Lewis, Toomey, Small, and Shephard are some of the more common surnames in my tree. My father's tree is pretty mixed: French Canadian (Cadieux & Perrault), norwegian (Olson), Fryer and Collister (unknown).

John Frayer
Yes, it's the correct plot and the Gubmint doesn't even have a Frayer in their records for that cemetery. Either, the Gubmint or the Cave Hill cemetery office or the person who created the memorial or the guy who made the marker has misspelled it. Whomever screwed up, they did it a lot.

The Cave Hill Cemetery office has it listed in the wrong cemetery, completely. It shouldn't even be in their records, but they have all of the National records dropped into their records, with screwed up data. They won't change it, either.

You're welcome. Sure wish I could have found her. But, as you know, headstones that old don't always exist.

RE: quick question
There wasn't anything else on the stone. Also, I couldn't find the younger John or Dan, but there is a huge gap between the older John's stone and Mamie Kelley's stone so they might be in there. I also found them listed in the following census of the cemetery, but there isn't a location listed for them.

Arby Fryer
Dan
I looked Arby Fryer up in familyseach.org I found the following citation:
Arby Fryer, "Minnesota, Deaths and Burials, 1835-1990"
Name: Arby Fryer
Gender: Male
Burial Date:
Burial Place:
Death Date: 13 Apr 1922
Death Place: Burlington, Becker, Minnesota
Age: 78
Birth Date: 1844
Birthplace:
Occupation:
Race:
Marital Status:
Spouse's Name:
Father's Name:
Father's Birthplace:
Mother's Name:
Mother's Birthplace:
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: B02148-2
System Origin: Minnesota-EASy
GS Film number: 2218069
Reference ID: 307

That would Arby Fryer 77 years old when Arby Almond Fryer was born. Not imposible, but I would suspect another generation in there.
Happy Searching and Many Blessings!

Mattie Young
I talked to the caretaker this afternoon. He does not have a Mattie Young - there were a couple of other Youngs in the cemetery - one named Mary, but no Mattie. I am not seeing a request for photos for Ivo's parents, so I will try to find their memorials and download the photos if it will let me.
