I agree there is a discrepancy somewhere..but I was given the information to link this father to the daughter thru a family member...
Not sure if the death date of John is incorrect or the DOB of Faye. I have sought more info from the contributor. Many dates are skewed on vital records..Thanks

There's a book that was published in 1922 called SOLDIERS OF THE GREAT WAR, published in 1921, that is a complete a listing of all those who died during WWI as I've ever seen gathered in one place. It also has photos of a lot of the casualties. It's available free online from Goggle Books, and as a Nook (and probably Kindle) edition as well.

I added a photo of where his grave is, unfortunately there is no headstone. Lenora Swicegood's tombstone is in the front of the photo, she is buried in DA-2-L54-1E. Carl is buried immediately behind her in what appears to be an empty spot. Sorry there was nothing there to photo other than burned up grass
