|Angie Palmer||Smith Family Line|
Alvah O. Smith is my great great great grandfather. I found my information through familysearch.org, since the only member left of my family is my grandfather Earl. He was an only child, his dad died when he was 3, so we don't have a lot of family information. I was wondering how we are related? Thanks :)

The 'wall' on some markers is a piece of cardboard placed in back of the stone to cut the glare that was coming from the field in back. I tried this after several tries to get the best picture for the two rows of Colonial era stones on a slight hill with a field in back. It took me a while to realize I had to be at the cemetery before 8:30am (!) when the sun is hitting the face of the stones for them to be readable/photographable. By 9am the face is in shadow!

For the info.
Have you located James Smith's father? William Daniel Smith James' son is my husband's line.

There is an infant, John Arthur Carlson, buried in the same cemetery and Carl and Hilda. Could be be related?

I have transfered carl's memorial to you. I am so happy you found this. I drive by this cemetery sometimes and just stopped and took a few photos one day.
